Castle of Wartburg, Eisenach (15.10) and Castle of Herkules and Kassel (16.10)

Hey Hey!

We are now on our "vacation" at host-mom's parents in Kassel (well, a bit before Kassel in some city). We are in some kind of valley in the middle of mountains and landscape is just WONDERFUL!

We got here on 14th October, just for dinner time and after that had some free time. Had to wake up early, because breakfast is at 8 o'clock. I am still not used to waking so early, plus c'mon, it's school break! Isn't it for resting? :D

On 15th October after breakfast, around 9:30 we started going to castle named Wartburg. Before that we made a little stop in place called "Baumkreuz". Originally it was built as a border between East- and West-Germany, after IIWW. Now they rebuilt it to seprate two "states".

Castle Wartburg. Why is it so important? As my host-dad said, that castle is bithplace of "German identity", because in that same Castle Martin Luther translated bible from Latin to German. This translation also showed what are correct grammar rules of German language. From bottom the castle looked like this:

After visit to castle we went to city of Eisenach. Very very very beautiful!
Intresting how much km costs?

Eisenach's Old Town
Churches, churches everywhere!

Eyes closed, but still good picture ;)

Most intresting part of the city! Belive or not, but this street is built on bridge!
Not so special, but they have a shops just for left handed people. Super cool! When host-mom first talked about this, I jokingly asked her, if they will sell cups for left handed people and turns out THEY DO! I was so excited about this shop and I can't wait to go back or into next shop for lefties. Oh, I did bought a cup what is meant only for left handed people! xD I show later, when I'm back in Meppen :)
Now you can see better that city is built on a bridge:

Not the same part of the city, but still very nice!

Sun teases me, so not so good pictue. But here are two more entertainers: Captain Blaubär and Hein Blöd

I think everyone knows this fairytale!

I add pictures also from today: Castle of Herkules and city of Kassel.Saddly weather wasn't so nice, but we hope we have more luck on Friday! :)
Castle of Herkules in the mist
At least view was kind of mystic ;)

City of Kassel. First only for pedestrians zone in Germany:

City itself is a little bit like Frankfurt, a lot of mixed styles, so didn't like it so much.

The monument for the fallen ones

City is filled with "modern art":

That's all. Didn't like Kassel so much, so not so many pictures to show.
Have a nice week!
